About the role

We are recruiting for a NPI Technician to join our team in Coleraine.

You will be joining a fast-paced and friendly team and will be responsible for the collection of raw materials, kitchen trials, sample manufacturing, packing, and dispatch to customers.

You will also support the factory with product and packaging trials, which are planned in advance during trial planning meetings. Attending these trials and communicating with the lab, operations, and technical teams is essential to ensure smooth operations. Trial paperwork must be recorded, filed, and any issues escalated accordingly.

Key responsibilities

• Checking Salesforce daily and dispatching samples while completing necessary paperwork.
• Keeping records of trials, including photographs.
• Ensuring correct labelling of products.
• Planning and coordinating organoleptic assessments, maintaining updated paperwork, and communicating any issues.
• Coordinating micro and nutritional sample collection and dispatch.
• Ensuring timely results from the lab, reviewing if results meet targets, and maintaining updated documentation and communication.
• Collecting samples from storage and updating packaging information, including ingredients and nutritional details.
• Circulating and communicating relevant information effectively.
• Maintaining an NPD folder for each customer with all relevant documents, ensuring it is audit-ready.
• Understanding customer protocols from the quality team.
• Keeping raw material storage areas clean and within expiry date.
• Managing trial samples effectively and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the NPD kitchen and pallet space.

Qualifications and skills

• Previous work or internship experience within a food-related environment.
