Job summary

M-Tec Engineering Solutions Limited is seeking an NPI Quality Engineer to join our quality team at the Shropshire facility. You will drive from initial RFQ to production handover, ensuring designs are manufacturable and meet customer requirements.

You will manage PSW activities toward timely PPAP completion, support APQP steps, and collaborate across engineering to deliver robust, error-proof production processes. This role emphasizes strong stakeholder engagement and adherence to HSE policies.

Qualifications

• Experience with APQP processes and managing design to production handover.
• Knowledge of FMEA and PPAP activities and documentation.
• Ability to drive design for manufacture and assembly in CAD environments.
• Familiarity with robust quality concepts and quality systems.
• Experience communicating with customers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support from RFQ through to handover and stable production.
• Lead PSW activities toward on-time PPAP completion.
• Ensure designs are fit for manufacture and tooling supports customer requirements.
• Drive error-proofing and control methods where needed.
• Coordinate with the design team for gauge/fixture standards and spares management.
• Support APQP steps, including SCSS, FMEA, and control plan links.
• Promote HSE policies across the department and plant.
• Own lessons learned to improve future quality and design performance.
