Job Description
NPI Quality and Yield Engineer
Swindon, United Kingdom | £35,000–£42,000 per annum
Are you passionate about driving product quality and improving manufacturing yields?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a New Product Introduction (NPI) Quality and Yield Engineer to join a high-performing team based near Swindon.
About the Role:
You will be at the heart of new product introduction activities, leading the analysis and improvement of product yield and quality. Collaborating across multiple departments — including design, test engineering, project management, and supply chain — you’ll play a critical role in driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Organise, monitor, and analyse manufacturing yield data, delivering clear reports to internal teams and foundry partners
Lead short loop planning to identify and resolve yield issues early in production
Drive process control initiatives and continuous improvement projects at fab partners
Maintain robust process control and measurement systems
Track and report on schedules, risks, costs, and yield improvements
Develop in-line measurement plans and propose corrective actions for operating conditions
Capture best practices and lessons learned to enhance future activities
About You:
Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field
Strong statistical analysis and data interpretation skills (e.g., JMP, Minitab, Python, or MATLAB)
Exposure quality and process improvement methodologies (FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, etc.)
Understanding of CMOS technology and device physics desirable
Exceptional organisational, planning, and collaboration skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
