Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Project Lead for New Product Introduction (NPI) hardware projects in the United Kingdom. You will guide projects from concept to market launch, coordinating with programme, engineering and product teams to ensure alignment with the Business Case and roadmaps.

You will own detailed delivery plans, manage risks, and drive cross-functional execution through mass production, while communicating status and mitigation plans to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Experience leading cross-functional project teams toward shared goals with high autonomy.
Background in structured project management environments.
Experience using digital planning and reporting tools.
Excellent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) hardware projects from concept through market launch.
Own project planning, delivery, risk management and stakeholder alignment throughout the lifecycle.
Collaborate with Programme, Engineering and Product Management to align with Business Case and roadmaps.
Create and execute detailed delivery plans with stage gates and deliverables.
Manage cross-functional delivery teams through mass production and end-to-end delivery.
Identify risks and implement mitigation plans across projects.
Estimate and track costs and schedule; monitor cost and quality metrics.
Build relationships with internal teams and contract manufacturing partners.
Resolve delivery issues, remove blockers and build stakeholder consensus.
Work with Scrum Masters to deliver software and customer experience elements of new products.
Improve delivery processes, tools and ways of working.
Communicate project status, risks and delivery plans to stakeholders.

Own project planning, delivery, risk management and stakeholder alignment throughout the product development lifecycle
Collaborate with Programme, Engineering and Product Management to produce product development strategies aligned with Business Case and product roadmap objectives
Create and execute project delivery plans and detailed stage plans with deliverables and review gates
Manage cross-functional delivery teams, priorities, workload conflicts and end-to-end delivery through mass production
Identify project and programme risks and implement mitigation plans
Estimate and track project costs and schedule, cost and quality performance measures
Build relationships with internal project teams, stakeholders and contract manufacturing partners
Resolve delivery issues, remove blockers and build stakeholder consensus
