Job summary

A global leading client is looking for a Project Manager in Oxford to lead R&D projects in MRI Magnet Technology. The successful candidate will oversee complex product developments and coordinate with international teams. This role requires a minimum of 5 years in project management, preferably in a regulated environment, and offers a hybrid work model starting August 2025.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant Engineering, Science or Technology subject preferred but experience supersedes.
• Project Management certification but experience supersedes.
• Agile/Scrum methodology qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in Project/Program Management.
• 5+ years of experience in a highly regulated business environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact, technically complex projects in a fast-paced, international agile environment.
• Motivate and guide a cross-functional project team to foster accountability and collaboration.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks/issues to ensure project success.
• Act as a key interface between international departments for new product development.

  Job Description
  
  As a R&D / Engineering Development Project Manager, you will lead high-impact, technically complex projects with a local focus, but in a global context, driving the successful development and introduction in production of new products and technologies in a fast-paced, international agile environment. You will be responsible for strategic planning, execution, stakeholder engagement, and operational improvements, driving projects to completion on time, within budget, and to the quality standards together with global partners in Germany and China

    10+ years of NPI Project management experience in complex medical equipment or regulated industries, utilizing both waterfall and agile methodologies (team size 30+)

    3+ years of experience in production ramp up and product continuous improvement within manufacturing environment
    
    
  • 
    
    3+ years of expertise in engineering tools (FMEA, PFMEA, design review) and design optimisation technique (DFM, DFA) for manufacturing.

    3+ years of broad understanding of MRI system, components and interactions
    
    
  • 
    
    3+ years of engineering or science-based project or team leadership experience
    
    
  • 
    
    3+ years of prototype management
