Job Title: NPI Engineer

Location: Maidenhead

Salary: up to £60k per annum

Job Role for the NPI Engineer:

Leveraging your expertise to ensure a smooth transition from product development to full-scale production, enhancing design and manufacturing efficiency whilst ensuring the product's quality is not compromised.

  • Drive Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities for new and existing products
  • Operations lead of new product introduction
  • Lead virtual builds and prototype development, ensuring early identification of potential manufacturing challenges
  • Plan and oversee first production runs, coordinating with all stakeholders and teams to validate manufacturing processes and ensure product readiness
  • Manage the seamless transition from development to production
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction and continuous improvement
  • Develop, update and maintain comprehensive production documentation, including job routings and work instructions
  • Coordinate with test department and production teams to resolve any testing discrepancies or failure modes

The successful NPI Engineer will have the below skills and experience:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing, production, engineering or technical role, with RF and electronics or similar experience
  • Proven experience NPI Manufacturing Engineering role
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and quality systems
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with experience in root cause analysis
  • BSc (hons) or MSc in Electronics Engineering, experience with electronics and RF components
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards
  • Hands on experience with RF systems, analogue and digital circuits, antennas and electronics manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and six sigma methodologies
