Location: Bristol, Monday - Friday (Days)

Are you a Product Development Technologist with experience in the food manufacturing industry looking to join a successful and continually expanding company with a global reach, in a challenging and fast-paced innovative role?

The role would suit someone with previous experience in a Product Development role accompanied by a background in food manufacturing/production. Day to day, you will work alongside the Technical Manager, Head of Innovation, and development Chefs. You will be instrumental in delivering new products to market and play a key role across the whole process from conception through to launch.

THE ROLE:

1. Delivering new products & customer launches to market
2. Ensuring that ingredient/product information is accurate, up-to-date, and consistent in the NPD system
3. Understanding project critical paths and implications of deviations
4. Building relationships with the manufacturers, understanding capabilities, and spending time on-site with their development teams to create exciting products efficiently, following the products through to the launch and beyond.
5. Co-ordinating sample requests, overseeing product processes, and conducting organoleptic and shelf-life evaluations across product ranges
6. Generate product labelling in compliance with relevant legislation
7. Support continuous improvement projects by identifying innovative ideas and ingredient opportunities that maximise cost savings and enhance business efficiency.
8. Generate internal & external project documentation
9. Assist in sending samples for customer requests, photography, or external events
10. Investigating new global & local food trends and competitor activity

THE PERSON:

1. BSc Food Science/Technology (or similar) with previous experience in a similar role
2. Computer literate, particularly in EXCEL.
3. A self-starter who shows initiative and excels in multitasking with attention to detail.
4. Excellent organisational skills and a natural can-do attitude.
5. Relishes working in a fast-paced environment in a hands-on capacity independently and as part of a team.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. A strong interest in food outside of work and awareness of market trends.
