Job description

We have two new and exciting positions for New Product Development (NPD) Technologists.

Collaborating with large well-established retailers, the role will manage customer accounts and expectations by leading communication with customers and delivering new products that are innovative, of the highest quality, and market leading.

You will be responsible for driving consumer-led product development projects to meet customer expectations and managing development projects, working with products from concept through to launch.

You will support the NPD controllers in striving to continuously improve the service provided by Panesar Foods and help ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards within agreed critical path timelines and commercial parameters set by both internal departments and external customers.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
  1. Industry-recognised food technical qualification—HND/degree or equivalent.
  2. Project management experience.
  3. Aware of new market trends.
  4. Analytics reporting.
  5. Experience of working within NPD.
  6. Working within a food manufacturing environment desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Maintaining company quality standards, ensuring compliance with the standards (including local standards), policies, safety requirements, and applicable country laws.
  2. Lead a project and communicate clearly and effectively across cross-functional teams.
  3. Participating in customer-related groups, e.g., product teams, factory meetings, sales, marketing, and application-related group meetings.
  4. Manage critical paths efficiently to successfully launch the product.
  5. Gain knowledge of opportunities for NPD and EPD by keeping up to date with new ingredients and packaging formats.
  6. Monitor new ingredients and materials requested to ensure NPD and technical procedures are followed correctly.
  7. Experience in a kitchen development environment and knowledge of ingredient functions and compounds.
  8. Product benchmarking and sensory analysis.
  9. Be able to research and brainstorm new product concepts and ideas professionally to customers.
  10. Awareness of product costings to develop and launch successful products.
