Our client was created with a single goal: to disrupt and reinvent the global nail salon industry. They are the fastest growing beauty services brand in the UK and are driven by a passionate and disruptive team in achieving their mission.

With ambition to become as known for a product brand, they develop product ranges for use in salons and for retail sale beyond, fulling B2B market needs as well as expansion into 3rd party consumer sales channels.

You will have experience as a NPD Manager, with a passion for beauty, and understanding of beauty consumer needs alongside a good understanding of the development process and supplier support needed to bring exciting and innovative new products to highly engaged consumers.

Reporting to the Head of NPD, and with significant liaison required with the Product Division COO, you will work across a breadth of product categories that may include nail colour, nail care, skincare (hand, body and foot focus), tools and accessories and lifestyle products.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Product Strategy: Use your consumer and market understanding to develop new product proposals. Continually look for and consider opportunities to introduce commercially viable, innovative product, packaging and creative ideas into the product portfolio.
  • Trend Reporting: Keep up to date with the latest beauty brands and trends. Key to this is a good understanding of how beauty is evolving on social media i.e. TikTok, Instagram etc.
  • Consumer Insight: Build consumer insight and response into development programmes ensuring that new products delight consumers.
  • Professional salon insight: Build understanding of requirement of products to fulfil service menu needs, recognising the commercial imperatives.
  • Formulation and Manufacturing: Identify relevant supplier partners and build strong relationships, enabling their ongoing support and commitment to the client’s development programmes.
  • Project management: Utilise project management skills to ensure on time delivery of programmes
  • Packaging Design: Work closely with nominated creative agencies to develop all necessary pack and graphic requirements.
  • Data Analytics: Utilise data to monitor performance and KPIs of new products, building learning into future product development programmes

ABOUT YOU:

  • 5 years plus of product development experience, primarily within the beauty and personal care industry. Experience managing colour ranges – whether nail or more generally cosmetics would be beneficial.
  • Passionate about beauty, persistently keeping up to date with the latest trends and product launches in the beauty industry.
  • Ability to approach development with a conceptual mindset, introducing brand relevant concepts to the business.
  • Good aesthetic sense, with ability to contribute to the creative direction on key programmes.
  • Proactive.
  • Organised, detail-oriented with good project-management skills.
  • Analytical mindset able to make data-driven decisions.
  • Good communication and presentation skills .
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships with external partners (manufacturers etc).
  • A team player who effectively connects, collaborates and fosters an inclusive environment.
  • Has high integrity and holds self and others accountable to the highest standards.

LOCATION:

Their office is based in Central London and they offer a hybrid working model, based on the requirements of the role.
