Reporting to the Head of Innovation, the NPD Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and launch of a variety of wellness focused products across Myprotein and Myvitamins. Executing launches globally in both D2C and B2B channels, product formats include, but not limited to, VMS, gummies, superfoods and collagen RTMs. This role will focus on driving innovation in a rapidly growing space, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class products aligning with consumer trends and insights.

This role manages a team of passionate product technologists. It works cross-functionally with key stakeholders including procurement, compliance, brand, and creative teams, as well as external suppliers to bring commercially viable and technically sound products to market.

What are the key responsibilities?

• Manage and lead a team of NPD Technologists, providing guidance and support across all product development projects to ensure timely delivery.
• Stay up to date with current and emerging market trends, reporting on opportunities and developments.
• Analyse and consolidate market research and consumer insights to inform product development strategies.
• Develop and refine product formulations in line with trends, claims, and brand positioning.
• Ensure all product development is compliant with relevant legislation and internal standards across multiple markets.
• Project manage NPD from concept through to launch, working closely with procurement, compliance, brand, and creative teams.
• Create and manage detailed product specifications.
• Brief and manage suppliers, ensuring alignment with technical, operational and commercial requirements.
• Approve packaging and product compliance to ensure a smooth path to market
• Support cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring successful product launches.
• Monitor sales and customer feedback to evaluate product success, identifying areas for improvement and continuous improvement.

What skills/experience do I need for this role?

• Degree in Nutrition, Food Technology, or similar field.
• Experience working with suppliers to develop and commercialise new products, including managing briefs and ensuring technical and operational.
• Commercially aware with experience of understanding price hierarchy, cost engineering and marketing investment requirements.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in NPD, with a strong understanding of the product development lifecycle.
• Proven experience managing or mentoring a small team.
• Experience working with products sold internationally (non-region specific)
• Strong project management and communication skills, able to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with strong commercial and technical awareness
• Interest in the health, wellness, and the supplement market.
• Clear understanding of compliance, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
