This is a full-time position working,37.5 hours a weekwith a combination of shifts;Days = 07:00 – 19:30andNights = 19:00 – 07:30, Monday to Sunday.

Main duties of the job

As our Inpatient Registered Nurse, you will be:

  • Providing high-quality patient care, ensuring their welfare, safety, and comfort.
  • Collaborating with doctors, surgeons, anaesthetists, and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless treatment.
  • Managing patient admissions, establishing strong relationships, and ensuring all documentation is completed.
  • Monitoring patient progress, planning new interventions, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate records in both paper and electronic formats.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior nursing staff and healthcare assistants to foster a strong team environment.
  • Ensuring compliance with infection control policies, health & safety regulations, and hospital standards.
  • Participating in audits, training, and staff development, continuously improving clinical practices.

You will be a NMC Registered Nurse with at least one year of post-registration experience, with:

  • Experience working in a surgical or inpatient setting.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to delivering excellent patient care.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety, Infection Control, and Quality Standards.
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach to patient care.
