About the Job:
Main duties of the job

There will be a training programme to ensure that you are supported to deliver confidential high-quality care.

The post holder will work to ensure the smooth running of a very busy clinic by:

  1. Ensuring that the clinic is managed efficiently and that any concerns are escalated appropriately.
  2. Supporting the management and processing of results to specific guidelines.
  3. Managing and reporting issues with reference to relevant policies and procedures.
  4. Cleaning and stocking the clinical area ensuring stock levels are maintained.
  5. Ensuring specimens are packed and transported to the lab appropriately.
  6. Chaperoning patients during intimate examinations and providing aftercare for those who require it.
  7. Assisting clinicians in tasks and procedures.
  8. Taking blood (phlebotomy skills desirable but not essential as training will be provided).
  9. Supporting the delivery of asymptomatic infection screening.
  10. Providing microscopy (skills desirable but not essential as training will be provided).
