About the Job:

Job Responsibilities
  1. Develop the skills to obtain consent prior to giving care in accordance with Trust policies.
  2. Follow individual patient care plans under supervision and report any changes immediately to the Registered Practitioner.
  3. Demonstrate care and compassion to patients, carers, and relatives to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.
  4. Undertake basic patient assessments and provide personal care, reporting findings to the Registered Practitioner to maintain high standards of care, especially regarding skin integrity and patient alertness.
  5. Practice safe standards of care following Trust guidelines and policies, maintaining focus throughout the day despite occasional interruptions.
  6. Follow infection prevention and health and safety policies and procedures to ensure safe care delivery.
  7. Keep the patient's bed space clean, tidy, accessible, and stocked with necessary items within easy reach.
  8. Develop skills to facilitate patient self-care and independence.
  9. Perform personal care duties, including supporting with toileting, bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  10. Record oral fluid intake and nutrition details accurately. For further details, see attached JD & PS.
