About the Job:

Main duties of the job

There will be a training programme to support you in delivering confidential, high-quality care.

The post holder will work to ensure the smooth running of a busy clinic by:

  • Ensuring efficient clinic management and appropriate escalation of concerns
  • Supporting management and processing of results according to guidelines
  • Managing and reporting issues following relevant policies and procedures
  • Cleaning and stocking the clinical area, maintaining stock levels
  • Ensuring specimens are packed and transported to the lab appropriately
  • Chaperoning patients during intimate examinations and providing aftercare as needed
  • Assisting clinicians in tasks and procedures
  • Taking blood (phlebotomy skills desirable but not essential, training provided)
  • Supporting the delivery of asymptomatic infection screening
  • Providing microscopy (skills desirable but not essential, training provided)
