Job summary

Crowe UK is seeking a qualified ACA, ICAS, or ACCA auditor to manage a portfolio of external audit clients. You will lead audit teams, ensure completion of work within budget and timelines, and serve as the principal contact for clients, providing proactive service.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical auditing skills, be able to mentor junior colleagues, and possess an interest in the not-for-profit sector. Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
  • Experience in Charity audits and the not-for-profit sector is an advantage.
  • Ability to support, coach and mentor junior colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of external audit clients to deliver year-round service, building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Managing a number of audit teams and ensuring planned work is completed within the agreed budget and timescales from planning through to completion.
  • Act as a principal contact for your clients through the year delivering a proactive service.
  • Work to tight deadlines, taking responsibility for your work and multi-tasking in an organized manner. Time‑plan your own work and client appointments.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and Audit Committees/Boards.
  • Direct, coach and mentor audit teams to assist them in the delivery of engagements.
  • Be proactive in business development activities and develop, maintain and monitor your own network.
  • Involve in proposals and presentations for new work.
  • Potential for involvement in the provision of wider assurance services to clients.
  • Participate in team and firm‑wide activities and training opportunities.
Technical Skills, Experience & Knowledge
  • Qualified ACA, ICAS or ACCA.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards, and experience of Charity audits and the not-for-profit sector, including the Charities SORP is an advantage, although not essential.
  • Strong people‑management skills enabling you to support, coach and mentor more junior colleagues.
  • Interest in the not-for-profit sector.
