About the role

Haleon is recruiting for a Northern Europe Senior Media Manager on a full-time contract, in a Hybrid Working role.

Fixed term contract from June 2025 to June 2026.

We are looking for a Senior Media Manager for Northern Europe (NE) to work within our NE media team. This role will support and report into the Media, Digital & Marketing Capabilities Lead, working collaboratively with other Media team members. The main responsibilities include developing & managing data-driven Communications Plans, focusing on Digital, leveraging Haleon’s market scale, and supporting agency model management.

The Senior Media Manager is a key role aimed at empowering marketing teams with better media planning and buying capabilities, ensuring media strategy aligns with brand objectives, and integrating data and insights into media choices. Candidates should understand digital media tactics, technical foundations for campaigns, and be able to communicate effectively with brand partners. We seek someone collaborative, passionate, driven, curious, and eager to adopt new technology and trends.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide Consumer Healthcare Brand Marketing teams with paid media expertise to maximize ROI across the full funnel.
  • Support the Media Director in planning, modelling, stewardship, and driving digital integration across various channels.
  • Manage the media agency relationship and work with cross-functional teams to develop integrated campaigns.
  • Lead media strategy and planning for Annual Brand Planning across the region.
  • Manage agency agreements, identify savings, and collaborate with procurement and local markets.
  • Coordinate with Dcomm media manager for Dcommerce planning integration.
  • Champion media effectiveness initiatives and define measurement tools and guidelines.
  • Lead media budgeting and management platform rollouts.
  • Support the development of the NEU Media Manager.
  • Work with BU category leads to identify growth opportunities and curate media guidelines for local brands.
  • Drive media capability training for local marketing teams.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and lead media projects across functions.
  • Implement strategic programs with media partners like Google, Facebook, and Amazon.
  • Collaborate on data strategies and develop data-driven marketing solutions.
  • Use industry trends and performance data to inform strategies, testing, and measurement.
  • Work with agencies to deliver ROI-positive performance media programs through insights and analytics.
  • Support global media guideline interpretation and execution.
Qualifications and skills
Essential
  • 10+ years of media agency experience or client-side media expertise.
  • Understanding of media planning, activation, and trading online and offline.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of presenting to senior leadership.
  • Experience in digital marketing, integrated media strategy, and communications planning.
  • Knowledge of TV and Digital buying strategies, including Advanced/Connected TV, SEM/SEO, Programmatic, Social, and eCommerce.
  • Experience with media planning tools and holistic strategies.
  • Understanding digital marketing components and their integration into marketing mix.
  • Ability to manage relationships with key partners.
Preferred
  • Experience with FMCG or healthcare brands.
  • Experience managing multiple markets.
  • Experience with media partners like Google, Facebook, Amazon.
  • Team management or development experience.
  • Thought leadership in media innovation and emerging trends.
  • Experience in performance-driven media and data strategies.
