Job summary

Time for Teeth is seeking a qualified dental nurse to join our North West team as a peripatetic/floating nurse across multiple prisons and secure establishments. You will support dentists and dental therapists delivering NHS care, working 37.5 hours weekly, 8:30-16:30, across sites including Liverpool and surrounding prisons.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, friendly, and highly motivated, with strong teamwork and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• GDC registered dental nurse with current registration.
• Minimum 2 years' dental nursing experience.
• Hold dental indemnity insurance upon appointment.
• Able to pass DBS enhanced check and prison vetting.

Responsibilities

• Keep clinical areas, equipment clean, tidy, and sterile.
• Ensure CQC requirements are met and complied with.
• Provide clinical chairside support to the dentist.
• Maintain stock levels of consumables in clinic.
• Set up and decontaminate instruments.
• Maintain and update patient records.
• Complete monthly company performance reports.
• Ensure the care and wellbeing of patients.
• Follow PPE, COSHH, infection control and waste disposal rules.
• Attend and complete training for GDC registration requirements.
• Complete laboratory request forms.
• Support efficient operation of the service.

Time for Teeth are looking for a qualified dental nurse to join our North West team to work as a peripatetic/floating dental nurse working across the dental clinics located within various prisons and secure establishments across the North West.

Working for Time for Teeth LTD you will be based within the prison service assisting the dentists and dental therapists in providing a full range of NHS care and treatment to patients.

Salary: Competitivehourly rate

Days/Hours: 37.5 hours per week 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday

Based: HMP Liverpool, HMP Altcourse, HMP Risley. HMP Thorncross, Rowan View Hospital, Ashworth Hospital, HMP Hindley, HMP Styal

This is an exciting post that will allow the candidate to work across a number of different sites and will be an ideal development and progression opportunity.

The ideal candidate will be a enthusiastic, friendly and highly motivated individual. You must have the ability to work closely with other members of staff as well as being able to work off your own initiative. A caring attitude, good communication and work ethic are all essential.

• Other duties as required for the efficient operation of the service.

What will we need from you?

• Be a GDC Registered dental nurse
• Be fully qualified with 2 years or more experience
• Hold dental Indemnity Insurance upon appointment
• Be able to pass a DBS enhanced check and clear prison vetting procedures.
