Job summary

The Oil and Pipelines Agency seeks a Health & Safety Manager (Scotland focus) to lead occupational health and safety across its Scottish depots. You will collaborate with the Health, Safety & Deputy Security Manager to drive SMS, ensure legal compliance, and promote a proactive safety culture in a COMAH environment.

Requires NEBOSH Diploma and progress toward CMIOSH, with 2–3 years in a H&S management role, preferably within COMAH settings.

Qualifications

• Experience in COMAH environments or similar high-hazard settings.
• NEBOSH Diploma and IOSH Chartered membership progress.
• Proven track record implementing Safety Management Systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a competent person for Occupational health and safety within the organisation.
• Provide expert guidance in HSSE targets and continuous improvement.
• Support site leads with safety systems, risk assessment and compliance.
• Ensure alignment with COMAH, CDM 2015 and other UK H&S legislation.
• Travel to depots across Scotland with occasional England coverage.
