Why You:

As the North Area Loss Prevention & Security Manager, you will lead a proactive approach to loss prevention and security risk management across markets. Your focus will be on compliance, loss prevention, and enterprise risk management, ensuring area priorities are embraced by market stakeholders. You will develop strategies to create a secure environment, mitigate risks, and guide team leaders to identify, assess, and manage local risks effectively.

What You Need to Have:
  • Diploma in Security Management or equivalent expertise in security and loss prevention.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the security and loss prevention industry.
  • Skilled in making balanced decisions considering business, people, and ethics.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, effective with all organizational levels.
  • Preferably experienced in managing multiple sites.
  • Strong ethical standards and a deep sense of integrity.
What You Will Be Doing Day to Day:
  • Collaborate with Unit BR&C Leaders to implement security and loss prevention strategies.
  • Provide expertise and guidance in BR&C, security, and loss prevention to support operational excellence and influence risk-aware decisions.
  • Conduct risk assessments, develop risk treatments, and monitor progress.
  • Perform internal investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventive actions to minimize business loss.
  • Work with markets and external security providers to reduce fraud, accidents, and claims.
  • Serve as the primary contact for local authorities and external bodies.
  • Drive organizational performance with talent development and succession planning.
  • Investigate and reduce anti-social incidents.
  • Oversee incident and crisis management, root cause analysis, and loss estimation.
  • Promote risk awareness and loss prevention practices.
Additional Information:
  • Type Of Role: Fixed Term Contract, 12 Months, Full-Time (39 hours/week)
  • Schedule: Mainly Monday-Friday, occasional weekends/evenings, on call every 5-6 weeks
  • Salary: From £41,000 plus full IKEA Benefits Package

  • Travel: Frequent travel across the North Market Area
