Job description

Position: Lunch Room Monitor

Start Date: 9/3/4

Terms/Schedule: Months, Part Time

Primary Function

To assist in supervising and serving children during scheduled meal periods.

Responsibilities
  1. Supervision
    1. Maintain visible control of children at all times.
    2. Circulate among students to monitor behavior and serving issues.
    3. Use positive discipline techniques as directed by the building principal.
  2. Set-Up
    1. Assist in setting up tables, preparing cleaning/sanitizing solutions, and other necessary equipment.
  3. Meal Cards
    1. Collect meal cards at the end of the meal line or when students receive their meal.
  4. Milk
    1. Gather and dispense milk to students as directed.
  5. Clean Up
    1. Monitor students to dispose of garbage properly.
    2. Assist staff in cleaning and sanitizing tables.
Safety Expectations
  1. Be knowledgeable of all school rules and safety procedures.
  2. Report accidents promptly on approved district forms.
Additional Responsibilities

Perform duties as assigned by the building principal or district policy.
