Job Description

ALTEN UK is looking for a Nonconformance Analysis & Quality Assurance Engineer to support a range of ongoing aerospace and defence programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience working with NC reports, root cause analysis and corrective actions, and wants to play a key role in driving continuous improvement across complex engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse nonconformance (NC) reports to identify root causes and systemic issues
• Lead or recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce repeat NCs
• Determine the scope of recurrence prevention across product types and lines
• Evaluate risk-based justifications for action or non-action
• Support strategic quality transformation initiatives

Qualifications

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa, and FMEA
• Strong understanding of risk analysis and evidence-based decision making
• Demonstrated track record of implementing CAPA
• Ability to assess impact across multiple products and processes
• Familiarity with regulatory and customer quality standards such as AS9100 or ISO 9001
