An exciting opportunity has arisen at King Edward VI Handsworth School for Girls for a skilled, compassionate Pastoral Leader to join our Pastoral and Safeguarding team.
This role will take a lead in welfare interventions and act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for Key Stage 3. Working closely with the Assistant Headteacher (Director of Safeguarding and Pastoral Year 7-11), you will support the care, development, and education of pupils to ensure their safety and wellbeing, while fostering positive relationships with parents and carers.
The successful candidate will be based in the Pastoral Hub and will work within a highly integrated and skilled pastoral team, led by the Assistant Head Pastoral who is the DSL. The team also includes Heads of Year, other Key Stage Pastoral Leaders, a School Social Worker, Pastoral Administrator, and Attendance Officer.
