Job description

We are currently seeking a talented Independent Non-Medical Prescriber Nurse (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber to work within our community-based substance use services in the City of London and Hackney. The service is delivered in partnership with Mind CHWF and London Friend, emphasizing partnership working to support local communities in achieving their goals.

Our approach is holistic and inclusive, delivering treatment and support across neighborhoods. As an NMP Nurse or Pharmacist Prescriber, you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals struggling with drugs and alcohol issues, developing personalized, flexible, and realistic support packages to facilitate recovery.

You will be involved in opiate substitute treatment, alcohol and opiate detoxifications, and relapse prevention medications. Additionally, as part of the Wellbeing Team, you will support the nursing team with Blood Borne Virus screening and vaccinations, and collaborate closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services. You will also help foster a collaborative approach linking Turning Point more closely with external professionals and agencies.

We seek a qualified Non-Medical Prescriber Nurse (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber who is an excellent communicator, capable of developing creative, flexible, and tailored support packages. The ideal candidate loves engaging with people from diverse backgrounds, genuinely enjoys helping others, and demonstrates empathy, understanding, and patience.

What Benefits Will I Receive?
