Job description

As a Non-Medical Prescriber, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients by assessing their needs, making appropriate prescribing decisions, and offering expert guidance on medication management. Your role will involve working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Conducting thorough patient assessments and developing individualised care plans.
  • Prescribing medications and managing prescriptions in line with best practices and guidelines.
  • Providing patient education on medication use, potential side effects, and lifestyle changes.
  • Collaborating with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care.
  • Monitoring and reviewing patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Staying current with medical advancements and changes in prescribing practices.
  • Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance professional skills.

Requirements :

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Allied Health Professional with relevant prescribing qualifications.
  • Valid Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) qualification and current registration with a relevant professional body.
  • Proven experience in prescribing medications and managing patient care.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, and clinical guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
