NON-GRADUATE Laboratory Technician Job in Berkshire

Role: Instrumentation Laboratory Technician

Location: Caversham Lakes, Reading, RG4 9RA

Salary: £12.52 per hour (8 months temporary role, possible extension)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 3.30pm (to help avoid the traffic)

Do you have an interest in the Environment or Water Quality? Are you a non-graduate with science qualifications to A-Level, BTEC or HNC level? Are you confident using small hand tools?

We have a position available for a person with an interest in environmental science, or with relevant experience. The role involves assisting in the disassembling, cleaning, re-calibration, and maintenance of a wide range of water quality monitoring equipment. In addition, you will assist in the operation of the quality system.This is an ongoing temporary position with a view to becoming permanent for the right person. This is a great opportunity to learn more about environmental monitoring equipment and water quality. We are looking to get people started ASAP and all training will be provided.

Seeking candidates with an interest in water quality and environmental science. Excellent opportunity for a school or college leaver with science A-levels. We are looking for long term commitment to the role.

Requirements

  • Manual dexterity, able to use a variety of small hand tools
  • Able to commute to Caversham

Preferable but not essential

  • Laboratory or workshop experience
