Job summary

Asda is seeking a Non-Food Manager for Langley Mill to lead the George and GM departments, delivering high availability, top floor standards and strong execution on promotions. You will drive customer satisfaction by coaching teams and ensuring safe, legal store operations.

You will plan trading activity, develop people, and oversee merchandising to maximise sales while maintaining excellent customer service and a positive in-store experience.

Qualifications

• Plan and execute all trading activity on the shopfloor to maintain great availability and key metrics.

• Drive strategy into action: Planning and executing all trading activity on the shopfloor, delivering great availability standards, key metrics and KRAs through routine and processes.
• Lead with impact: Engaging and coaching your team to constantly improve routine and process whilst creating a culture of selling our customers with personality, serving with heart and pride, and get one more item in every basket.
• Results-focused: Ensuring shopfloor and promotional activity is landed to brief and on time to drive the store selling agenda by ensuring products are clearly labelled and displayed to promote sell through.
• Talent Development: Listen with empathy, driving resilience and encourage ownership, focus and passion for the business by bringing the "Asdaness" to work every day and supporting the development of the team and creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted, and motivated to step up.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge on non-food departments.
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
