Job summary

Asda is seeking a Non Food Manager in Frome to lead the day-to-day running of the George and GM departments, achieving top-quality availability and shop floor standards. You will drive execution, seasonal events and theatre in store while keeping safety and compliance at the forefront.

The role requires experience as a team leader or supervisor in retail, with strong organisation, customer service and flexibility to work days, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Plan and execute all trading activity on the shop floor to deliver great availability and meet KRAs.
• Lead and coach the team, improving routines and processes while selling with personality and pride.
• Ensure shop floor and promotions are landed to brief and on time for sell-through.
• Develop talent and resilience, fostering ownership and engagement.

At Asda, we want you to find your everything as a Non-Food Manager, you’ll play a vital role in the day-to-day running of our George and GM departments in store by delivering the best availability and highest shop floor standards through brilliant execution, seasonal events and theatre in store whilst ensuring the store is safe and legal for our customer and colleagues.

What qualities you’ll need:

• Drive strategy into action: Planning and executing all trading activity on the shopfloor, delivering great availability standards, key metrics and KRAs through routine and processes.
• Lead with impact: Engaging and coaching your team to constantly improve routine and process whilst creating a culture of selling our customers with personality, serving with heart and pride, and get one more item in every basket.
• Results-focused: Ensuring shopfloor and promotional activity is landed to brief and on time to drive the store selling agenda by ensuring products are clearly labelled and displayed to promote sell through.
• Talent Development: Listen with empathy, driving resilience and encourage ownership, focus and passion for the business by bringing the “Asdaness” to work every day and supporting the development of the team and creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted, and motivated to step up.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge on non-food departments.
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
