Non-Financial Risk Director

6 Month Contract
Location: London (Hybrid)

Lorien's UK leading Pensions and Insurance firm is currently seeking a highly skilled Non-Financial Risk Director to join the team on an initial 6-month contract.

Skills:
  1. Experience working at a senior level within a financial services organisation.
  2. Ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirements related to new or ongoing business situations, including knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
  3. Ability to motivate, direct, and develop staff at various levels, working individually and in team environments.
  4. Sound judgement with the ability to determine when to escalate issues or seek assistance.
  5. Strong management, leadership, and team-building skills, with the ability to communicate compliance issues clearly to senior management and staff.
  6. Effective communication and report writing skills.
Knowledge:
  1. Deep understanding of the UK financial services and regulatory framework, including Data Protection and Anti-Financial Crime legislation.
  2. Knowledge of business systems, including outsourced arrangements for financial services organizations.
Experience:
  1. Credibility and experience at Board or Management level.
  2. Experience managing Information Security risks, including digital developments and related risks.
  3. Experience with technology control frameworks such as COBIT or similar.
  4. BSc/Degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  5. Experience working in COO or similar roles.
