Job summary

A public health organization in England is seeking a Non-executive Member to chair the Audit Committee and act as Conflicts of Interest Guardian. The ideal candidate will possess significant finance and audit expertise and experience with NHS governance. Overview

NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB commissions health and care services for the 1.8 million people living in Lancashire and South Cumbria, with responsibility for spending over £5 billion on services to meet their needs and support improvement in health and wellbeing. Our population is spread over a complex geography and is extremely diverse.

Role

This is a challenging but exciting time to join our Integrated Care Board. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Board as Non-executive Member who will Chair the Audit Committee and also be appointed as the ICB’s Conflicts of Interest Guardian.

Fit and Proper Person Test

This post is also subject to NHS England’s Fit and Proper Person Test Framework and as such background checks will be undertaken for the successful candidate and a self-attestation form will be required at that stage.

Responsibilities

As chair of the Audit Committee, you will have the qualifications, expertise or experience to enable you to express credible opinions on finance and audit matters and possess a strong background in Audit and Governance, an appreciation of public or private sector Audit and Governance arrangements, and ideally prior experience of a non-executive in the NHS.
