Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced senior leader from the UK property sector to join our board as a Non-Executive Director. As an innovative technology startup focused on transforming digital service delivery, we are seeking a strategic thought partner who understands the sector's unique challenges and opportunities.
About UsOur startup is developing AI-powered solutions that help housing providers enhance operational efficiency, improve resident communication, and deliver more personalised services. Our clients include The Peabody Trust, Aster Group, Golding Homes and we are supported by some of the UK’s leading investors.
Key Responsibilities- Attend and actively participate in quarterly board meetings (in-person or hybrid)
- Provide strategic guidance on market opportunities and challenges within the property and social housing sectors
- Offer commercial advice and network connections to help shape our growth strategy and business model
- Support the leadership team in identifying potential partnerships and client opportunities
- Challenge our thinking and help us navigate the complexities of the property market landscape
- Share insights on evolving sector needs and regulatory considerations
- Contribute to our overall governance as a growing technology business
Candidate ProfileEssential Experience- Senior leadership experience (C-suite, Director or equivalent) within Property or within UK social housing providers
- Demonstrated understanding of digital transformation challenges in the property sector
- Track record of supporting innovation initiatives within traditional organisational and regulated contexts
- Commercial acumen and ability to balance social impact with business sustainability
- Experience serving on boards or in advisory capacities
Desirable Attributes- Previous engagement with startups or technology ventures
- Understanding of AI and emerging technologies in public service contexts
- Experience with procurement processes in housing associations
- Network of relevant contacts across the social housing sector
- Passion for improving outcomes for housing residents through innovation

Commitment and Compensation- Quarterly board meetings (can be attended remotely)
- Ad-hoc strategic advisory calls as needed (maximum 1-2 hours per month)
- Initial term of two years with possibility of extension
