Location: Central London
Company Size: £90m turnover | Insurance Services | Private Ownership
Time Commitment: ~1–2 days per month (Board & Committee meetings, strategic input)
Remuneration: Competitive NED fee
We are a leading back-office services provider to the UK insurance market, supporting a broad spectrum of clients including brokers, MGAs, and insurers. With a turnover of £90m and a reputation for operational excellence and regulatory integrity, the company is poised for a new phase of scalable growth, digital transformation, and strategic diversification.
As we evolve, we are seeking to strengthen our board with the appointment of a Non-Executive Director who brings experience, insight, and independence to help guide the business through its next chapter.
As a Non-Executive Director, you will play a key role in providing independent oversight, constructive challenge, and strategic guidance to the executive team and fellow board members. You’ll help ensure the company maintains the highest standards of governance, regulatory compliance, and commercial focus as it continues to scale.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and review of corporate strategy and growth planning.
Act as a sounding board to the CEO and senior leadership, offering constructive challenge and support.
Provide oversight of financial performance, risk management, and operational resilience.
Ensure the business adheres to relevant FCA regulations and maintains strong governance standards.
Sit on or chair board committees (e.g., Audit, Risk, Remuneration) as appropriate.
Bring external perspective on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive positioning.
Qualifications
Previous NED or senior board-level experience, ideally in financial services or regulated B2B environments.
Strong understanding of the UK insurance sector, particularly operations, compliance, or distribution models.
Demonstrable experience in governance, risk, audit, or regulatory matters.
Strategic mindset with the ability to see both the big picture and operational realities.
A track record of contributing meaningfully to boardroom debate and decision-making.
Experience working with private equity or in a fast-scaling business environment.
Familiarity with digital transformation or operational efficiency initiatives.
FCA-approved or experience working within FCA guidelines.
