Are you passionate about shaping the future of community healthcare? Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust (NCH&C) and Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust (CCS) are seeking three outstanding Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) to join our Group Board and play a key role in ensuring that we continue to provide excellent care for local communities across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Bedfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk, Luton and Milton Keynes.
NCH&C and CCS are CQC rated "outstanding" providers of high-quality community healthcare, supporting people at all stages of their lives across the East of England. As separate Trusts, we have long shared a commitment to delivering compassionate, inclusive, and innovative care.
As separate Trusts, we have long shared a commitment to delivering compassionate, inclusive, and innovative care. We began working as a Group on the 1st April 2025 and we are working on a case for change for our Trusts to merge in 2026, marking an exciting new chapter for integrated community health services.
Our case for change represents an opportunity to create a stronger, more cohesive organisation that enhances patient care, diversifies our services, improves efficiency, and maximises our ability to meet the needs of the populations we serve. As part of this transition, our NEDs will play an instrumental role in shaping the future governance and strategic direction of the new organisation.
Ahead of this we are looking for three new NEDs who will initially be appointed jointly to both organisations and as part of the newly formed Group. We are looking to appoint two Clinical NEDs who will bring deep expertise from the healthcare sector and a further financially qualified NED to Chair the Finance and Infrastructure Committee.
We welcome applications from individuals with clinical leadership experience (for the Clinical NED roles), your experience as a leader might be drawn from nursing, the allied health professions, social work or the medical profession and will have an understanding of the complexity of providing exceptional care in the community to diverse and broad populations. Those applying for the Finance and Infrastructure Committee Chair role should bring a financial qualification and board experience across finance, business or performance management in large complex public facing sectors. Applicants should also demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills, and a passion for improving community healthcare services.
As a NED you will have the chance to influence the direction of two outstanding NHS Trusts as they transition into a single organisation. This is a unique opportunity to both contribute to the NHS at a strategic level and serve your local community.
If you're ready to bring your expertise and leadership to our Group Board, we'd love to hear from you.
