At Integrated Care 24 (IC24), we’re a not-for-profit social enterprise delivering high-quality, patient-centred care commissioned by the NHS. Our services span urgent care, out-of-hours GP, NHS 111, dental and digital health solutions - reaching over 6 million people every year.

About the Role

As our clinical Non-Executive Director, you will provide strategic oversight and challenge across all aspects of the Board’s work, with a particular focus on clinical quality, patient safety, and governance. You’ll Chair the Quality Committee and support the development of long-term strategy, ensuring that our services remain safe, effective, and future-focused.

You’ll bring assurance and insight into clinical governance and quality improvement, while also supporting innovation and sustainability across our services and subsidiary, CLEO Systems, which provides cutting-edge digital care solutions to the NHS.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a qualified clinician with:

  • Significant Board-level leadership experience in a complex health or care setting.
  • Deep understanding of clinical governance, regulatory frameworks, and NHS assurance standards.
  • A collaborative, values-led approach with the ability to challenge constructively and inspire improvement.
  • A forward-looking mindset, capable of thinking strategically over a 5-year+ horizon.

Essential:

  • Recognised clinical qualification (e.g. medicine, nursing, AHP, or clinical academia)
  • Strong track record of quality improvement and clinical leadership
  • Understanding of the CQC and NHS England regulatory landscape
  • Commitment to IC24’s values: Innovation, Care, Excellence, and Respect

Desirable:

  • Experience in digital health or tech-enabled care
  • Exposure to group/subsidiary board governance models

What We Offer

  • A key voice at the Board of a progressive, values-led social enterprise
  • The opportunity to drive system-wide improvement across urgent and primary care
  • Induction, peer support, and ongoing development
  • Remuneration of £15,000 per annum, plus reimbursement for reasonable travel and subsistence expenses

Time Commitment & Location

You’ll contribute approximately 3 days per month, including attendance at:

  • Bi-monthly Board meetings (in-person)
  • Subcommittee meetings (hybrid)
  • Strategy sessions and site visits across our locations (Ashford, Brighton, Basildon, Ipswich, Norwich)
