With over 1,800 employees across the UK, and offices in Bordeaux, Dubai and Bangkok, CSG is on a mission to be recognised as the global leader in education and public sector solutions.

Being publicly owned means profits CSG generate are delivered back via dividends into front line services, with over £77m delivered so far. It is the exciting blend of commercial growth and social value which makes CSG unique, both to customers and employees.

Job Description

Currently growing at a rate in excess of 20% each year, CSG operates through 33 trading brands via an innovative buy and build model delivering an important mix of organic growth, acquisitions and strategic joint venture partnerships.

We are now seeking a Non-Executive Director to become a member of the Group Board and join our Children & Education and People & Talent portfolios. These include businesses delivering scalable outsourced recruitment and HR services, high-volume transactional educational supplies, training, and workforce solutions and legal, safeguarding, and professional services.

As a Non-Executive Director, you will provide independent, commercial challenge to the CSG Leadership Team whilst also acting as their trusted adviser. You will support the development and evaluation of business plans and investment cases and contribute to the Board's collective responsibility for governance, risk management, compliance, and cultural integrity. You will be expected to build networks to support the Group's commercial partnerships, visibility, and influence across the private and public sectors.

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for someone with C-suite P&L experience with a track record of growing or transforming a transactional and fast-paced customer-facing business and who brings a deep understanding of operational drivers, margin optimisation, and customer-centric growth strategies. You will bring relevant market insight and experience that informs strategic choices in HR services, education, workforce planning, or adjacent markets. You will be comfortable providing high-level strategic advice in complex, matrixed or portfolio businesses and have a passion for the strong social purpose of the organisation. Previous experience as a Non-Executive Director or senior advisor is advantageous but not essential.
