Job summary

NCIC Non-Executive Director Remuneration: £13,000 for up to 5 days per month. Based -Cumbria

  • We provide acute hospital and community health services to approximately half a million residents. As an integrated healthcare provider and an integral component of the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS), we offer comprehensive health and care coverage throughout our region.
Workforce of over 6,500 dedicated healthcare professionals, responsible for delivering more than 70 services across 15 primary sites.

The Role:
  • Opportunity for a values-driven and inspiring Non-Executive Director to join the Trust Board, providing oversight, governance, leadership, and scrutiny as part of a cohesive and dynamic Unitary Board.

Main duties of the job

You:
  • Strategic finance leader with Board-level or equivalent experience gained in complex, changing, and multi-stakeholder environments .
  • A proven track record of driving financial improvement, performance measurement, and robust governance.
  • Able to demonstrate compassion for our staff and the communities we serve.
  • Commercial experience; this could be in the private, public or third sectors and it's important to note that no prior experience of the NHS is needed.
  • Able to promote the highest standards of integrity and corporate governance.
  • Offer independent challenge and support.
  • Role model our values of Kindness, Respect, Ambition, and Collaboration.
  • Contribute to all aspects of the board agenda, bringing a breadth of perspective and the ability to understand complex strategic issues
