Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Non-Executive Director to provide independent oversight of the digital agenda, data governance and cyber resilience. You will scrutinise information governance, EPR readiness and the safe use of automation and AI to improve patient and staff outcomes.

The role shapes strategic direction, challenges delivery, and supports assurance on digital investments. Transferable experience from outside the NHS is welcome; NHS Board experience is not

Qualifications

Senior experience in digital, data or technology within a large organisation.
Ability to scrutinise complex assurance reports and translate technical issues for a non-technical board.
Experience in cyber resilience, information governance or digital investment governance.

Responsibilities

Provide independent oversight and constructive challenge on the digital agenda.
Set strategic direction and scrutinise performance and risk at board level.
Ensure digital programmes are clinically led, user focused, inclusive and aligned with strategy.
Translate technical issues into clear, constructive questions for the Board.
