Job Description

Job Title: Interim Non-Contentious Construction Lawyer

Location: Bristol – Hybrid Working

A leading award-winning law firm is seeking an Interim Non-Contentious Construction Lawyer with expertise in Clean Energy and Projects.

Candidates should have at least 4 years of construction, commercial and/or projects experience within the clean energy sector, although the firm would also welcome applications from those with transactional experience within the sector.

This role involves working within a specialised team focusing on renewable energy, battery storage, distributed, and smart solutions. Key areas of experience include energy-from-waste, solar PV, wind power, CHP, zero emission vehicles, hydrogen, electricity networks, grid connections, and energy performance contracting.

Responsibilities:

  1. Handling power purchase agreements, battery optimisation and tolling contracts.
  2. Managing clean energy project developments, acquisitions and disposals.
  3. Overseeing low carbon support regimes and energy supply contracts.
  4. Arranging biogas offtake arrangements, Ofgem licensing, electricity regulation, and grid connection arrangements.

Familiarity with technologies such as solar PV, wind, hydro, battery storage, energy-from-waste, biogas, hydrogen, EV charging infrastructure, and district heating is advantageous.

This is a hybrid working role with office attendance required in Bristol (preference), Leeds or London.

Please note this role is Inside IR35 and paying a competitive rate.
