Non Conformance Coordinator

(operations control room call centre)

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £27,723 basic, plus 33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays

Monday to Friday - 8 hr shifts - (start and finish times vary between 6am and 6pm)

Job status: Permanent

Main purpose of the job

BCA Logistics (BCAL) is looking to fill a Coordinator position focused on managing daily operations and supporting our drivers on the road to meet operational targets and service levels.

The ideal candidate will be driven, hardworking, and passionate about success and helping others. You should have a strong understanding of our operating procedures, customer SLAs, processes, and deliverables to provide quick and accurate assistance to drivers.

The position is based in our Birmingham head office.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of our team of drivers
  • Work closely with drivers to deliver a 5-star service exceeding customer expectations
  • Build strong working relationships with drivers for coaching and development
  • Assess drivers’ skills and assign tasks based on abilities and customer requirements
  • Coordinate with recruitment to ensure optimal driver coverage and discuss staffing needs
  • Make and take inbound and outbound calls to/from drivers
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Collaborate with the Planning Team to ensure smooth journeys
  • Provide proactive updates to the Customer Service Team
  • Offer out-of-hours emergency cover on a rota basis
  • Respond to emails from team members, departments, and stakeholders
