Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading aviation consultancy in Southampton in their search for a Noise Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an expert team tackling complex noise and vibration challenges.

The Role
  • Deliver noise modelling and acoustic assessments for aviation products using advanced simulation tools.
  • Integrate noise control solutions into planning, design, and infrastructure projects in and around Southampton.
  • Translate technical data into clear, actionable insights for clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed reports, assessments, and recommendations.
  • Lead projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring outcomes meet time, cost, and quality targets.
About You
  • A degree in Acoustics, Aerodynamics, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in aviation noise and vibration, ideally in product development or aircraft engine acoustics.
  • Strong ability with noise modelling software and understanding of aviation noise impact mechanisms.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for innovation.
  • Desirable:
    • Membership/Chartership with IOA or IMechE.
    • Experience with sound insulation schemes or public consultation.
