Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions in Bristol is seeking an experienced Node.js Developer to join a team building scalable, real-time applications in AWS. You will focus on backend development, event-driven systems, and data streaming solutions, working closely with engineers across the platform.

This six-month contract requires strong Node.js/TypeScript skills, APIs and microservices experience, and hands-on AWS know-how to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience building APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, or similar streaming technologies.
• Hands-on AWS experience.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Overview

We\'re looking for an experienced Node.js Developer to join a team building scalable, real-time applications in AWS. You\'ll focus on backend development, event-driven systems, and data streaming solutions, working closely with engineers across the platform.

Duration: 6 Months

Location: 3 Days per week onsite in Bristol

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Start: ASAP

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript


• Experience building APIs and microservices


• Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, or similar streaming technologies


• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures


• Hands-on AWS experience


• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases


• Familiarity with CI/CD and modern development practices

Desirable Skills

• React development experience


• Kubernetes or Terraform exposure


• GraphQL experience


• Experience with high-volume, real-time systems
