Job description

Job Description: NOC Engineer

Telent is seeking a NOC Engineer to join our Network Operations Centre team at our Camberley (Surrey) office. If you have an interest in Network Monitoring, Troubleshooting, and Fixing, and wish to develop your career, this role is ideal.

The position supports a 24/7 Network Operations Centre with a 4-day on / 4-day off shift pattern (rotating between 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am). The role is office-based at our Camberley location (GU15 3YL).

The successful NOC Engineer will work within a team committed to Telent's Core Values: Be Inclusive, Be Customer Focused, Be Collaborative, and Taking Responsibility. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in mission-critical networks for clients in Public Services, Emergency Services, and Enterprise sectors. A keen interest in emerging Technologies, especially in Networks & Security, is desirable.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and data analysis for Telent's customers.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Support change management processes and adhere to organizational policies.
  • Take ownership of incidents, ensuring customer satisfaction through case management and data collection.
  • Notify customers and third parties of issues, outages, and resolutions.
  • Conduct trend and root cause analysis to support Incident and Problem Management.
  • Review performance reports to identify trends and improve future issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with the Service Desk team to meet SLAs and KPIs.
Requirements:
  • Relevant NOC or similar experience.
  • Experience in Service Desk or troubleshooting roles is acceptable.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+ (mandatory), Network+ and CCNA/JNCIA-JUNOS (desirable), CCT/CCST Cisco (desirable), CompTIA ITF+ (desirable).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work collaboratively.
