Job Description:

Join us in creating and deploying next generation MES solutions using the Tulip platform for Pharmaceutical and Biotech customers. This is groundbreaking work, reinventing the MES concept. So, as well as knowledge and experience of MES and GxP IT projects, you absolutely must be open to working in new ways with a flexible and creative mindset in tight collaborative teams with colleagues and customers.

Factorytalk has unique experience and know-how creating, building, and validating GxP Apps using this modern digitalization tool. You will receive extensive training on Tulip, attain certification, and additional training on Factorytalk’s specialist App design, building, and validation methods to deliver Tulip solutions for GxP use.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our rapidly growing team working on projects at the cutting edge of industry 4.0 that are leading the way in the life sciences manufacturing field.

You will be responsible for the technical design, build, and deployment of customer use cases as Apps. You will receive extensive training and gain experience to become an expert in the platform, utilizing the no-code app building tools, data tables, connectors, vision and AI widgets, edge devices, and deployment tools, to create world-class solutions. As the need for coding is eliminated, focus is primarily on drag & drop app structures, workflow, UX/UI, trigger logic, data flow/modelling, and software and hardware integrations.

Location

You will work with customers based all over the world. Work is flexible, mostly done remotely or from one of our offices, and with occasional travel to customer locations for key project meetings.

This position is based out of our Manchester, UK office and Bangkok, Thailand office. We operate a flexible hybrid working model so staff locations can vary, however in person attendance at our offices will be required for onboarding and with some regularity.

Must have requirements:

  • 2-5 years’ experience working with MES / EBR or similar systems in the life sciences industries.
  • Experience deploying MES in a GMP environment, configuring Recipes, MBR’s, Materials, BOMs, Order Management, Equipment management, Batch Review/Approval and other typical components.
  • A background in one or more of the following; manufacturing, as an industrial pharmacist, manufacturing related engineering, Manufacturing IT, automation, or digitisation.
  • A keen interest in improving business processes through digitialisation using software.
  • A great head for critical thinking, business/process analysis and problem solving.
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work internationally and communicate technical topics in an intuitive way to business stakeholders and clients.
  • Flexible mindset and comfortable in a fast-changing environment.
  • A global perspective and comfortable working with diverse cultures

Beneficial requirements:

  • Experience integrating MES with systems such as ERP, LIMS, and Historian.
  • Knowledge of low code/no-code software and its use in manufacturing or business.
  • Knowledge of Computer System Validation is an advantage.
  • Understanding and interest in UI/UX design.
  • Knowledge of software integration technologies, API’s, machine/equipment integration protocols, OPC/UA interfacing, is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become a specialist in the Tulip product capable of building innovative and effective MES, EBR, and other manufacturing solutions suited to different types/scales of manufacturers.
  • Gather and analyse customer requirements.
  • Design, build, and test Tulip applications following best practices and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate and work closely with delivery teams, customer stakeholders, and partner organizations.
  • Successfully deliver project activities through to completion.
  • Train, support, and coach customer resources on the platform and in App building

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest levels of knowledge of the Tulip product and regularly share internally with colleagues.
  • Provide knowledge sharing and training to internal team members when required.
  • Support the sales team to devise valuable solutions as part of the sales process for potential projects.
  • Perform R&D tasks using Tulip and other Factorytalk systems as required.
  • Create and maintain documentation.
