Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Programme/Project Director to lead complex change within a healthcare setting. You will oversee governance, benefits realisation and multi‑organisational collaboration to deliver high‑impact outcomes.

The role requires a Masters in management, Prince2/MSP, CPD evidence, and strong analytical, leadership and budgeting skills, with advanced IT capabilities to support executive decision‑making.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree and/or equivalent level job-related experience in management.
  • Formal project management qualification such as PRINCE and/or MSP practitioner.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
  • Knowledge of NHS and regional health care policy, performance and management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Vast knowledge and experience of project/programme management including planning, risk management and benefits realisation.
  • Demonstrable experience at a senior level in an NHS acute trust or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience of managing large scale change projects and track record of successful engagement with a variety of stakeholders
