Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited seeks an NLGV Driver Operative for a 6-month contract with a local authority in Thurrock. You will drive non-HGV vehicles, carry out street cleansing, environmental maintenance and public realm improvement across the borough.

You must hold a full UK driving licence, have experience in manual labour or environmental services, and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions with a strong commitment to health and safety. Bi-weekly pay applies.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Experience in manual labour, environmental services, street cleansing or grounds maintenance.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Drive NLGV vehicles and operate cleansing equipment.
• Carry out street cleansing and environmental maintenance duties.
• Remove litter, fly-tipping and environmental waste.
• Empty litter and dog waste bins.
• Operate mechanical sweepers and other cleansing equipment.
• Undertake manual labour and outdoor duties in all weather conditions.
• Complete vehicle safety inspections and daily checks.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed.
• Support environmental and public realm improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a team to maintain public spaces.
