We invite applications for a NIHR Integrated Academic Training Clinical Lecturer position. The appointment is available for up to four years, depending on the clinical training needs to achieve CC(S)T. You will join Leeds' vibrant Integrated Academic Training programme, which offers a supportive research environment to develop independent research alongside clinical specialist training leading to full registration and CC(S)T. The post includes a training contract with the Regional Postgraduate Deanery at a specialist registrar level and an honorary contract with the NHS Trust. Applicants should be at least at ST4 level and hold or be awarded a National Training Number in higher specialty training by the start date.
The successful candidate will spend 50% of the period on research, with the remaining 50% on clinical training. Opportunities exist to align research interests within cardiology at LICAMM. You will conduct internationally recognized research with senior academic support for grant applications and career development mentoring. Additionally, you will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs.
You must have submitted your PhD/MD with evidence of full award by the start date. The position is based at LICAMM, University of Leeds, and NHS Trust locations including St James’s University Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary.
