ROLE SUMMARY

  • Assembly of Electrical Switchgear and associated Electromechanical equipment/systems according to engineering drawings and production timescales.
  • Apply good workmanship and maintain quality standards in factory and at customer premises.
  • Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Work from drawings, manuals, schematics, etc.
  • Proven experience in assembling mechanical and electrical equipment and electromechanical systems.
  • Contribute to fitting, building, or constructing parts to ensure smooth component integration.
  • Assemble parts or components to build new or repeatable products.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of engineering tools and electrical hand tools, including torquing.
  • Maturity and practical engineering skills.
  • Adhere to Company policies and procedures.
  • Mentor and develop team members.
  • Ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Report substandard, malfunctioning, or defective parts.
  • Select, measure, and modify components for proper fit.
  • Carry out Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and order materials for internal and site tasks.
  • Assemble prototypes and development units with supervisors and managers.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
  • Meet deadlines and adhere to Quality and Health & Safety principles.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, be flexible for overtime, and work well as part of a team.
  • Complete testing of panels, including current injection.
  • Perform mechanical/electrical maintenance and site modifications.
  • Conduct Thermal Imaging inspections and prepare reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Experience / Qualification Criteria:

Candidates must have experience/qualifications in all of the following areas to be considered for interview:

  • Strong technical skills in wiring and assembling electrical panels.
  • Ability to follow schematic diagrams, ensure proper connections, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Attention to detail, safety compliance, and efficiency.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, collaborating with engineers and professionals.

Preferred but not essential:

  • Electrical and Mechanical knowledge.
  • Experience in Electrical switchgear manufacturing or similar.
  • Experience in field service work or onsite installations.
  • Familiarity with Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
