Job summary

Severfield plc is seeking a Logistics Operative - Trainee Loader (Nights) at our Dalton, Thirsk site. The role involves using a remote overhead crane to move materials, assembling packs, and preparing loads for trailer transport. Training will run for 3–6 months with emphasis on safety, numeracy, and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Strong numeracy and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Training will be provided; no prior experience required.
• Willingness to undertake a 3–6 month training programme.

Responsibilities

• Operate a remote overhead crane to move materials from production lines and assemble into packs.
• Ensure packs are safe and stable for transport around site by side loader.
• Load packs onto trailers for delivery to sites within trailer constraints.
