Job summary

Greenhous DAF Wolverhampton is seeking a skilled Nightshift HGV Technician to join our after-hours workshop team. You will service, maintain and repair HGVs to high standards while minimizing downtime.

Hours are Tuesday to Friday, 6.00 pm to 6.00 am (46 hours/week) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. You must be a qualified HGV Technician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and be comfortable working night shifts with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Qualified HGV Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience working on HGVs; DAF experience advantageous but not essential.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work night shifts with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete MOT preparations and inspections.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with DAF and DVSA standards.
• Accurately complete job cards and service documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
• Work independently during night shifts while maintaining high productivity.

Nightshift HGV Technician - Wolverhampton

Greenhous DAF Wolverhampton is looking for a skilled and motivated Nightshift HGV Technician to join our dedicated after-hours workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a market-leading brand in a professional, well-equipped environment.

You will be responsible for ensuring our customers’ vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards, minimising downtime and keeping fleets safely on the road.

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Salary: Dependent on experience, will be discussed at interview stage.
