Job summary

Greenhous DAF Wolverhampton is seeking a skilled Nightshift HGV Technician to join our after-hours workshop team. You will maintain and repair vehicles to high standards, minimising downtime and keeping fleets on the road.

You will diagnose faults, perform servicing and MOT prep, and ensure compliance with DAF and DVSA standards. Night shifts with potential for progression and permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Qualified HGV Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience working on HGVs; DAF experience advantageous.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• HGV licence desirable.
• Ability to work night shifts with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete MOT preparations and inspections.
• Ensure work aligns with DAF and DVSA standards.
• Accurately complete job cards and service documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
• Work independently during night shifts with high productivity.

Job description

Greenhous DAF Wolverhampton is looking for a skilled and motivated Nightshift HGV Technician to join our dedicated after-hours workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a market-leading brand in a professional, well-equipped environment.

You will be responsible for ensuring our customers’ vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards, minimising downtime and keeping fleets safely on the road.

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Salary: Dependent on experience, will be discussed at interview stage.

Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 6.00 pm to 6.00 am, i.e. 46 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.

Ideally, we are looking for:

• Qualified HGV Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• Experience working on HGVs (DAF experience advantageous but not essential)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• HGV Class 1 or 2 licence desirableAbility to work confidently on night shifts with minimal supervision
• Positive attitude and commitment to high-quality workmanship
