Job summary

Our client in Widnes is recruiting a Nightshift HGV Technician for a busy commercial vehicle dealership. The role offers a basic salary of £55,000 per year with potential earnings exceeding £57,000 including overtime and bonuses. Shift pattern is 8:30pm to 7:00am, Tuesday to Friday, with 30 days holiday and weekly pay including holiday pay accrual.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2+ in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
Proven experience diagnosing, servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles.
Full UK driving licence; HGV licence advantageous but not essential.
Organised, detail-oriented and able to work independently or in a team.
Excellent communication and professional attitude.
Willingness to work night shifts Tue-Fri 8:30pm–7:00am.

Responsibilities

Conduct maintenance, servicing and repairs on commercial vehicles and trailers.
Diagnose faults accurately and carry out testing procedures.
Perform effective, permanent repairs to minimise downtime.
Complete warranty, retail and contract documentation accurately.
Implement preventative maintenance procedures to reduce costs.
Support team to ensure vehicle safety, compliance and quality.
Maintain high level of technical documentation and follow manufacturer guidelines.
